Loxarel - a pèl Ancestral Barba-Roja - 2017

The Loxarel - a pèl Ancestral Barba-Roja is a Pet Nat Rosé from the D.O. Penedès made according to an old method in clay amphorae. Penedès from Garnacha Tinta, Sumoll and Xarel-lo Rojo grapes.  A traditional organic sparkling wine with the pure identity of its terroir and its craftsmanship. A natural sparkling wine from only one fermentation. Therefore "Ancestral" and therefore naturally cloudy, because not separated from the fermentation yeast. This wine has an appealing pale pink colour. Its bouquet is soft and delicate. The presence of the red grape varieties is noticeable in the smoky, pleasantly tart aroma, reminiscent of cranberry jam. On the tongue, the palpable tart physique of the tannins is evident, and they really stick to the palate. This wine is extremely fresh, very dry and has an extremely long-lasting finish. Here, the invigorating acid structure takes centre stage. Because of its fresh and light character, it is ideal for starters and goes very well with smoked dishes and soft cheeses.
