sidra cider
Sidra -cider
Spanish sidra differs significantly from English cider and German apple wine because it is traditionally produced in a very natural way, developing a particularly tart, slightly sour character. While English cider is often rounder, sweeter and more carbonated, and German apple wine tends to be clear, dry and straightforward in taste, sidra has a rustic, almost wild aroma with earthy notes and little to no added carbon dioxide. The way it is poured is also special: sidra is poured into the glass from a height to enrich it with oxygen and open up its complex aromas. The result is a drink that focuses less on sweetness and more on authenticity, craftsmanship and the unadulterated aroma of apples – a true cultural treasure from Asturias and Galicia.
