Roncesvalles chocolate is free from artificial colours and preservatives.  High cocoa content with a relatively low sugar content.

The chocolate is produced by the Subiza family's artisan chocolate factory, which has been officially recognised by the Government of Navarre with the Diploma for Master Craftsmen and Artisan Businesses since 1995. It is also a member of the Navarre Artisan Food Association.

The Subiza family has been able to pass down the secrets of a craft whose techniques Manuel Subiza learnt in France in the mid-19th century from generation to generation. His training in the French Basque Country, which has a long tradition of chocolate-making, is a key factor in understanding the passion and experience that the company brings to chocolate-making.
