Zallo - Bonito del Norte en escabeche

• Zallo - Bonito del Norte en escabeche

Also known as albacore or albunus alalunga, this is a type of tuna that is particularly prized for its texture and mild flavour. The Lomos de Bonito del Norte are marinated in typical Spanish Escabeche marinade - free of artificial additives and handmade. A delight for every fish fan.

The Zallo company has existed since 1926 and was founded by Athanasius Zallo and Antonio Soto. Since the beginning, the company has been one of the most influential in the Basque canning industry, especially when it comes to the art of processing Bonito del Norte and anchovies. The unique artisanal production, which is still carried out in its original form, and the great commitment to sustainability with respect for the environment, make Conservas Zallo a leader in the sector. The "real" Bonito del Norte is rich in protein (high biological value) and contains many vitamins (A, B, B12 and D, and E, with protective antioxidants). It also provides minerals such as calcium and iodine, which are important for the metabolism. The meat is rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
