The winery Bodegas Tampesta was founded in 1999 by two brothers aiming at producing artisan wines from local grape varieties typical for the Leon region, including Prieto Picudo and the white grape variety Albarin, also known as Albillo. The winery is situated in Valdevimbre, which is in the Sough of the province León.
