La Abuela Carmen

The family enterprise is situated in Montalbán, in a town in the South of Córdoba. They dedicate more than 30 years to the cultivcation, production and manufacture of garlic. After the harvest the garlic is slowly dried in a natural way in the fields. Then it is still cut by hand as has been done in the past. The cultivation zone comprises the environment of the Sierra Subbética, Sierra Morena and the Guadalquivir valley. In 1999 they inscribed in CAAE to obtain the organic certificate. Since then they have been a reference worldwide in the cultivation of organic garlic.
