Bodegas Irache

Bodegas Irache - One of the oldest bodegas in the Navarra region.

 

Bodega Irache is a well-known winery and wine producer in Spain. It is located in the Navarre region, more precisely in the town of Ayegui, which is close to Estella.

 

Bodega Irache has a long history and tradition in winemaking and is known for its high-quality wines. It was founded in 1891, making it one of the oldest bodegas in the Navarre region. The bodega's vineyards cover various sites in the Ayegui area and benefit from a favourable climate and soil to produce first-class grapes.

 

A special feature of Bodega Irache is its "Fuente del Vino" or "Wine Fountain". This wine fountain was originally built by monks in the 12th century and later taken over by the bodega. The bodega offers pilgrims on the famous Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James) the opportunity to sample wine and refresh themselves from the wine fountain free of charge. It is a unique and popular attraction along the pilgrimage route.

 

Bodega Irache produces a variety of wines, including red, white and rosé, as well as some special Reserva and Gran Reserva varieties. Their wines have received several awards and recognitions over the years and are appreciated both nationally and internationally.
